The US International Trade Commission voted Friday to expedite its five year or "sunset" review of the antidumping order on pure magnesium imported from China, a statement from the ITC said.
The review will determine if revoking the order will be likely "to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time." The ITC Commissioners will probably not hold a hearing and will base their decision on already available facts.
Although no schedule has been set for arriving at a decision, ITC spokeswoman Peg O'Laughlin told Platts that once a schedule is set there will be a decision within 150 days. The schedule is likely to be set in the next week or 10 days. |
